About ME
In 2021, I moved from my home in San Juan, Puerto Rico to begin my PhD at the University of Oregon and join Dr. Diego Melgar's research group that focuses on the study of large earthquakes and hazards related to earthquakes.
Previously, I worked as a seismic data analyst in the Puerto Rico Seismic Network. And Yes! I was there to witness the recent seismic sequence in southwestern Puerto Rico and main shock of Mw 6.4 on January 7, 2020. This experience deepened my interest in earthquake science and motivated me to pursue further education.
My ultimate goal is to become a research scientist in earthquake science and contribute to our understanding of earthquakes processes.
